Bikini Micro

If you plan to wear bikini micro bottoms when you go to the beach or pool, then you’re most likely aware that you have to get rid of hair on your bikini line. Otherwise, you risk looking unkempt, and that could be a major turn off for guys. Not to mention that you surely wouldn’t want to go to the beach looking less than your best. If you’re not ready to try waxing or epilating yet, perhaps you can just opt for shaving your bikini line. If you’ve never done this before, check out the tips below:

* Use a high quality razor. You can find razors that are specifically designed for the bikini area, and it would be good for you to use these because these are easier to manage, If you’re getting into the habit of shaving your bikini area, make sure that you replace your razor frequently.

* Take a shower first or immerse yourself in warm water before shaving. Doing so would open up your pores and soften hair, enabling a closer, smoother shave. Make sure to use warm water, because using cold water on your skin will make you more susceptible to getting bumps.

* Exfoliate the area to be shaved using body scrub or a loofah. Make sure that you rinse thoroughly to get rid of all the particles.

* Apply shaving lotion on the area you want to shave. If you’re out of shaving lotion or cream, you can always use hair conditioner as an alternative. This will soften the hair you’re going to shave, as well as moisturize your skin so that you can avoid nicks and cuts.

* When shaving the bikini area, it’s best to do so following the direction of hair growth. This means that you’re going to shave toward your midline rather than away from it. Use small strokes and make sure that you rinse your razor after each stroke so that the blades won’t get clogged with hair. Shaving in the direction of hair growth will prevent you from getting ingrown hair. If you want, though, you can shave against the direction of hair growth to get a smoother shave, but be aware that this can lead to irritation.

* Once you’ve finished shaving, rinse off the area and dry it well. Then put on lotion or aloe vera gel on the area to keep it moisturized. This will prevent you from getting red, itchy rashes on your bikini area.
